Newsletter and Calendar for June to September

The newsletter and class calendar for summer and early fall are now available for viewing at the links to the right. Some things to take note of:
We've added a new series of classes on Tunisian crochet and revamped our beginning knitting class.
If you like knit alongs, we have two scheduled; Jared Flood's Guernsey Wrap and Beth Brown-Reinsel's Celtic Dreams Aran sweater.
The ever popular Beat the Heat sale is scheduled  for July 12-14 so start planning your fall projects.
All of our regular priced books will be on sale at 10% off June 1 to August 31!
Our return policy is changing as of June 1st. Returns on yarn will be accepted for 6 months from date of purchase instead of 1 year. Yarn bought before June 1, 2012 can still be returned withing one year as per the old policy. Full details are in the newsletter and will be on your sales receipts.

Great shawl for Houston!

When the rep for Blue Heron yarns showed us this shawl, we loved it from the moment we tried it on! The limited issue Blue Heron Cotton Rayon Flax yarn has a bit of metallic glitz that isn't overpowering and the Wavy Rib Wrap pattern by Carol Eddington is easy to knit and lovely to wear. Not too heavy or hot, but keeps the air conditioner's chill off of bare shoulders. Come by the shop and try on this great summer accessory for Houston's weather!
