April 2016 Calendar Updates

I've made a few changes to the April 2016 calendar and you can find the updated information at this link:

We have some openings in the following classes -- additional details regarding cost and homework (if required) are in the Class Descriptions link here and on in the sidebar.

Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom - April 20, 2016 from 10-1. Did you know that you can weave a scarf in less time than you can knit it? To learn to weave on the Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom, you'll need 200 yards of two different colors of worsted weight stash yarn (or buy more at the shop!) and begin weaving a stunning scarf. You can then borrow the loom to finish your scarf and return it within the week. Beginners are welcome!

Beginning Spinning (Drop Spindle) - April 21, 2016 from 10-12. Spinning instructor Lisa Rose will teach you how to spin by hand with a drop spindle (bring your own or purchase one at the shop). This is a great introduction to fiber and fleece that will begin your journey to making your own yarn.

Nuno Felting - April 23, 2016 from 1-4. Nuno Felting instructor Gika Rector will teach you her method of wet felting on to a textile base (silk chiffon, cotton gauze) using dyed wool, and other fibers that can be incorporated on the base to create a textural and colorful fabric. Anybody can do this!
